BFCM2024, rare Yoshikazu Ikeda blue 1 mizu-honyaki (water quenched) Sakimaru 330mm with K&S ebony magnetic saya, and triple spacer Amboyna burl handle. The mirror polish is finished by hand rather than buffing wheel, resulting in an attractive finish with very good contrast to the hamon line and almost no residue scratch.

Master Yoshikazu Ikeda is one of the most respected smiths in Sakai. Ikeda-san started blacksmith in his 20s and with over 60 years of blacksmithing experience, he is the current chairman of the Sakai Dentoukougeishi (traditional skilled craftsman) Association. Along with his late brother Tatsuo Ikeda, knives from Ikeda brothers are highly thought after. We are very proud to offer his work.
