While we have been offering custom K&S hardwood Sayas for a long time already, most of them are for double bevels. We finally started to work with our supplier to start offering the single bevel K&S sayas.

The K&S custom sayas are manufactured to an extremely high level of quality, utlitising two very popular hardwood timbers: the light coloured Teak and the dark coloured African Wenge.

Teak is one of my favouriate timbers for handles and saya becuase it is quity oily (used in South East Asia for boat making) therefore offering a natural warmth feel. It is also very good at dealing with moisture.

African Wenge while is less oily than Teak, is stell very durable and more importantly dark. Once fully oxidated it is almost totally black and matches very well with darker handles (ebony and some dyed handles).
