The Sukenari SG2 Hairline K-tip Gyu-hiki is a slim version of the traditional Gyuto knife. Crafted with SG2 steel, it boasts outstanding razor sharpness and excellent edge retention. This knife offers a finely balanced cutting experience and superior durability.
The gyu-hiki profile makes tall enough to be used as a versatile gyuto, yet slim enough to minimize dragging in food ingredient.
Knives & Stones is proud to be one of the first vendors to receive the latest offering from Sukenari: Stainless sanmai double-bevel knives featuring the famous Takefu SuperGold 2 (SG2 / R2) steel.
The SG2 / R2 is arguably the most balanced powdered steel for kitchen knives, reasons being:
- Excellent edge retention like all PM (Powdered Metallurgy) steel
- Fine-grained, enables smaller sharpening angle therefore better cutting performance
- Low Abrasion Resistance among PM steel types
Hope you enjoy another unique offering from Knives & Stones!
